I graduated with a Master’s of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego and am a Licensed Acupuncturist in the State of California. I am also nationally certified as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine (acupuncture and herbal medicine) by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). As well as practicing acupuncture and herbal medicine, I am a Licensed Midwife with the California Medical Board and a lactation consultant previously IBCLE-certified. I have been attending homebirths since 1988 and believe a peaceful and gentle birth experience helps to create healthier individuals, stronger families and flourishing communities.
I enjoy treating a wide variety of conditions and specialize in women’s health, stress and emotional imbalances. A significant amount of our physical strife manifests from internalization of emotional and psychological disharmony, so I pay attention to those areas of your life when helping any imbalance. You don’t have to be unwell or have pain to enjoy acupuncture’s relaxing, balancing effects; regular treatments help to boost the immune system and prevent ill health.
At Wild Harmony Wellness I have merged my existing midwifery practice into my work as an acupuncturist and herbal medicine specialist. Midwifery is often called the world’s oldest profession while acupuncture and Chinese medicine have a history dating back at least 2000 years. Together, I blend these ancient arts to offer optimal care for families at all stages of life.
